Our statutory consultation will run from Wednesday 08 April until Wednesday 10 June 2026.

We will be hosting six in-person events during the consultation period to allow the community to view the plans and speak to members of the project team. In addition to these events, we will also be hosting one online webinar as an alternative for those unable to attend in-person. You will find a full list of event details below:

We’d like to hear your views on our updated proposals for Calderdale Energy Park.

This statutory consultation is your opportunity to share comments on the proposals and the work we’ve done to assess potential environmental effects.

Before completing the feedback form, we recommend taking a look at the Statutory Consultation Brochure, which provides an overview of the proposals and explains what’s changed since our last consultation. You can also explore the wider set of consultation documents, including the Preliminary Environmental Information Report (PEIR), for more detail.

You can also return feedback to us via our freepost address, Freepost CALDERDALE ENERGY PARK. For postal submissions, we will allow a seven‑day grace period after the consultation closes. Paper responses received within this period will be accepted. Unfortunately, any postal responses received after this time will not be accepted.

The consultation is open from Wednesday 08 April to Wednesday 10 June 2026. All feedback received during this period will be reviewed and used to help finalise the proposals ahead of submitting a Development Consent Order (DCO) application later this year.

In 2025, we held a non‑statutory consultation on proposals that included 41 turbines, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), the removal of solar panels, and changes to access routes and grid connections. Since then, we have reviewed consultation feedback alongside ongoing technical and environmental work, leading to further refinements, including a reduction to 34 turbines and the removal of the BESS.

5. On page 9 of the consultation brochure we present to you our updated Turbine Layout. Do you have any comments on the proposed turbine layout, including specific locations where you feel turbines should be moved, avoided or reconsidered, as well as any areas of the site you think are particularly appropriate or more suitable for turbine placement?

Do you have any local knowledge we should factor into the design of the Western Access or Eastern Access routes – such as pinch points, sensitive heritage areas (e.g., vaccary walls), popular walking/cycling/horse riding spots, or car park pressures (e.g. near the Atom Panopticon)? Cable Route

We have shared with you our current plans for connecting Calderdale Energy Park into the National Grid. This includes the proposed Point of Connection at Bradford West Substation and the cable route is proposed to be located within the Bradford West Cable Corridor.

The draft route has been developed to minimise impacts on local communities, the environment and key infrastructure, and will continue to be refined through detailed design work and feedback from stakeholders, local authorities, statutory bodies and the community.
